You may probably think that there isn’t much more for you to learn about this addictive social network. However, the following 8 features may surprise you.They are also quite useful and you will wish you knew of them sooner. With that being said, let’s get started with your lesson in Facebook studies!
1. Remotely Logout
This feature is particularly useful in the case of forgetting to logout of your Facebook account on a computer you don’t own. To protect your information, you can use the remote logout feature to logout of unwanted locations. To do this access your account settings and under Security Settings, in the Where You’re Logged In section, select Edit. From there, you will be able to see all of the places you are logged in. Select End Activity in order to logout of any device you don’t want to be logged into. Examining the locations here could also help you spot any suspicious activity. If you do indeed see any suspicious activity, then you will need to promptly change your password.
Pirate English/Upside Down English
If you feel like having a bit of a laugh then changing your language to English (Pirate) or English (Upside down) is for you! In order to make this language change, go to your account settings page and select Language. Under the “What language do you want to use Facebook in?” option, select either English (Pirate) or the upside down option. Please note that for upside down English, the words “upside down” will be upside down! English (Pirate) uses hilarious language such as turns o’the hourglass to refer to the time or flapped gums concerning this , which means that the post was shared, as seen in the example below. Upside down English will have anyone who passes by and glances at your screen wondering if they are seeing correctly!
Download All of Your Facebook Data
You can download a copy of all of your personal Facebook data if you wish to have a backup. This feature can be accessed in General Account Settings as seen in the screenshot below.
Set A Legacy Contact
I don’t mean to be a debbie downer but the fact is, there is a chance that any of us could pass away unexpectedly. You can assign a legacy contact who would have the ability to manage your Facebook account in case the worst happens. This option can be found under Security Settings.
View Watched Video History
Have you ever seen a Facebook video that you though was excellent, wanted to watch it again but couldn’t find it again? This has been the case for me quite a bit in the past. That was until I found out that you could actually view a history of your watched videos! To see your history, first click on the downward pointing area in the top right had corner of your Facebook window and select Activity Log. Within the log, click MORE under the section of items containing Photos, Likes and Comments, under Filters on the left of the screen. Click Videos Watched and you will be able to view your history. Here, you can re-watch any of these videos, delete individual videos from the history, clear your entire history or carry out a search for content you are trying to locate.
